Second Mentee Artist Added to Basingstoke project(01/05/2009)

Artpoint has appointed a second mentee artist, Linda Hasking, to the project to develop a Public Art Plan for the redevelopment of The Malls in Basingstoke. Based in Basingstoke, Linda's printmaking practice includes the use of digital technology and tradtional techniques.

The position has been developed to provide the opportunity for emerging artists to gain access to the public art commissioning process, so that they can learn from their involvement and better understand how to bridge the gap from gallery based to public realm work.
