Festival of Architecture 2009: Oxford Biochemistry Building Tours(28/04/2009)

The University of Oxford Department of Biochemistry are offering weekly tours of their new research laboratories led by scientists, artists and architects involved in the building design and Salt Bridges art commissions.

Designed by Hawkins/Brown Architects the building opened in September 2008 and is shortlisted for the 2009 RIBA South Awards. The Salt Bridges art commissions include major new works by Nicky Hirst, Tim Head, Peter Fraser and Annie Cattrell each reflecting a different creative collaboration between artists, researchers and designers.
